Admission Application Student Orientation - Course Placement

Student Success
- Your First-Year Plan
After completing orientation, your next step is to create a first-year plan (FYP) with a counselor. At your FYP appointment, you’ll talk about math and English placement and plan your first two semesters at 快播视频.
To schedule a counseling appointment, email or call the Admissions & Records office at the main campus. If you’re a Veteran or Military-Connected Students email or call the appropriate office.

760.366.3791 - Toward Year 2: A More Comprehensive Plan
Before your second semester at 快播视频, you and your counselor are going to work together to create a comprehensive student education plan (SEP). Your SEP shows the courses and activities needed to earn your degree or certificate and set you on your way to your new career.
Develop your SEP during your first semester at 快播视频 Mountain College and then update it throughout your enrollment in college.
Without an SEP, you run the risk of taking unnecessary courses, wasting time and money.
For a counselor to assist you in developing a plan, they will need to know the following:
- Your major/career goal
- If you’re planning to transfer and the university/ies you are planning to transfer to
It’s best to meet with your counselor at least once a semester to make sure everything is ok and to let them know if you need some help.

It’s important to stay in good
academic standing, but things happen. If you have less than a 2.0 GPA and aren’t completing 50% of your courses, you are considered “at risk.” As scary as this sounds, it means that we recognize you need extra help to get back on track, whether your setback came from difficult classes or personal hardship.
Being at-risk isn’t the end of the world; it’s the start of you making progress in this chapter. At 快播视频, you have every resource available to you to help you through any difficulties.
Contact your counselor and let them know what’s going on and they’ll know what to do next. They can only help if you tell them, so talk now.
If you any questions or need more information,
read about services to help you bounce back. And don’t worry, we’ll help you every step of the way.
